The project's front facade is a perfect example of how the house is divided by its two levels; the first level houses the public space while the second level houses the private. The public space is modest with traditionally angled walls made of simple materials; concrete, wood, and stucco. The private space, on the other hand, is more imposing with walls made of black oak wood − only fractured by the generous roof-to-ceiling windows − and even extending beyond the first floor's reach while gently laying atop it.

From the tall parting walls − nearly reaching the second floor − to the balanced distribution of a concrete floor and grass area, Casa Lara provides an ideal patio which enhances the playfulness of the first floor's modesty and second floor's imposition.
